Branding | Advertising | Print Design
Westjet is known for making every flight a safe and fun experience for their passengers. They have a customer-first mentality, which was not communicated with their original logo.
This project is a redesign of the Westjet brand including (but not limited to) their logo, print collateral, brand voice, type choices, and principles. The brand was crafted to better highlight the welcoming environment every passenger is brought into on a Westjet flight.

The Navigator is the Vancouver Island University Student Press. It strives to gain the attention of students and Nanaimo locals to continue reading print news.
The redesign for the 2015-2016 Volume was designed with the audience in mind. The design is meant to reach out to passer-bys to gain their interest enough for them to pick it up and start reading
The Navigator is recognizable but surprises it’s audience by presenting news in a less daunting layout, catering more to the younger audience that the paper strives to reach.

Revo is a branding and environmental design project with intent to eliminate landfill waste in a defined public space through direct communication, ease of the waste-sorting process, and awareness.

Logo | Rebrand
To be assigned the daunting task of rebranding Google is to be equally excited and scared of touching something so incredibly recognizable.
Publishing | Editorial | User Interface Design
This project is a two part series. The first - an editorial print redesign, and the second - a mobile publishing app.
The main purpose of this project was to create a new and exciting turn to printed news. To create interest in a medium that is said to be "dying".
The second purpose, was recognizing the new turn to news. Online publishing, wherever and whenever. Easy to produce, update, and easily accessible.
Branding | Package Design | Sustainable Design
Love Crunch is a brand of Premium Organic Granola that is advertised as an organic, fair trade, GMO free product. It’s packaging however, did not reflect this or attract the audience that it was trying to speak to. This is a sustainable packaging redesign.
The solution: a stronger bolder design that was and appeared more recyclable. The design includes cut outs to show how much you have left in the box, and an easy measure lid.
Editorial Design | Typography
UNSUNG Canada is a fictional magazine created with the intent to promote and showcase Canadian upcoming and indie musicians. The design features bold colours and strong contrast to represent that of the musicians being showcased.
This design was awarded the Applied Arts Scholarship in 2012 via The Graphic Designers of Canada as well as the 2014 Fitzgerald Award.
Logo | Branding | Print Design
Gateway’s main goal with their logo was to speak to people who would understand and recognize the imagery used. Gateway wanted to attract people with a passion for music.
The solution was to incorporate hand lettering reminiscent of the logos and wordmarks on old school amps, similar to the ones Gateway uses in studio. Pairing that style of lettering with a graphic of one of the studio’s guitars, we came to a solution: a clean and unique logo created to speak to those with a love for music.
Book Cover Design | Conceptual Design
The Laws of Simplicity is a non fiction work by John Maeda that explains how, when, and where to use simplicity and at what lengths to do so in design. The task was to create an entirely new book cover design each week, each with it's own theme: Photography, Collage, Typography, Illustration and Found Objects.
Advertising | Typography
This project was focused around taking an existing Craigslist ad and creating a poster advertisement using the copy and ad information.
Choosing an Underwood Typewriter advertisement, I chose to create a vintage style poster reminiscent of vintage advertising and tins from the 1920s. I used lettering styles and halftone colouring to follow through with the advertising era.
Handlettering | Personal Project
A challenge I took on from April 6th to July 14th of 2015, where I hand-lettered something everyday and posted them live on instagram so users could follow the projects process and development.
